Cornell gifts that are allocated to the Hillcrest SAE Development Fund are used to fund renovations and capital improvements to Hillcrest. With the renaming and expansion of the account's charter from the old SAE Capital Improvement Fund, gifts will now be used to support reinstatement of the chapter at Cornell as well.

Decisions about how these funds are used require the joint approval of the NY Alpha Alumni Association board and Cornell University. If you are interested in sponsoring a project you would like to propose for consideration, please contact the alumni association.

A Cornell Fund Gift to the Hillcrest SAE Development Fund Goes Twice As Far

By allocating your Cornell Fund gift to the Hillcrest SAE Development Fund, both Cornell and NY Alpha are credited with the full amount of the donation. You receive full credit and recognition for your gift with both entities. That doubles the impact of your gift.

Furthermore, the actual dollar amount of your gift can be doubled through matching gift programs available through thousands of employers. Just check the box on the pledge card and enclose your company’s matching gift form with your donation. Matching gifts enable you and your employer to receive credit for supporting Cornell University and NY Alpha.

Remember that money from the Hillcrest SAE Development Fund is being used to fund renovations and capital improvements to Hillcrest, as well as to support reinstatement of the chapter at Cornell.

    • Lifelong membership=lifelong support
    • Gifts are not tax deductible or eligible for corporate matching
    • Giving year runs January through December

Alumni dues and contributions are critical to the fiscal stability of the NY Alpha Alumni Association board. These unrestricted funds are used primarily for alumni communications and programming, including this website, the New York Alpha News and other alumni mailings, e-communications, fundraising, and hosted events during the year, including our traditional Homecoming and Reunion gatherings. Funds from alumni dues are received directly by the NY Alpha Alumni Association and will be increasingly essential to our chapter reinstatement efforts.

Although not eligible for corporate matching or tax deductibility, dues and gifts made to the NY Alpha Alumni Association give the alumni board flexibility in allocating resources independently from Cornell.

We believe in the premise that lifelong membership requires lifelong support.

Annual dues are only $45 for recent alumni and $75 for those out of school at least five years. Please consider paying your dues and, if possible, adding a gift above the base amount (see giving societies below). Please support our efforts to keep SAE moving forward.
